The 1950s section at Disney's Pop Century has a fun theme, a great quiet pool, and is a short walk to Classic Hall, the Hippy Dippy Pool, Petals Pool Bar, and the resort's bus stops. And, it's our new favorite section at the hotel! Be sure to check out the Bowling Pin Pool at the Lady and the Tramp icons.
During the holiday season the cast members at Pop Century participated in a gingerbread house competition! Their houses were creative and looked delicious! Guests at the hotel were able to vote on their favorites and teams were awarded first, second, and third place. Congrats to all the teams.
We love the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort! And we really love seeing Pop Century decked out for the holidays with festive Christmas trees, evergreen swags, and holiday wreaths. The 1960s section at Pop Century is full of bright colored icon and day-glo flowers and peace signs, and it could be considered the centerpiece of the resort. What do you love about this decade at Pop? Is it one of your favorite sections to stay in or do you prefer a more out-of-the-way decade?
There are three amazing pools at Pop Century but today we're talking about the Bowling Pin Pool located in the 1950s section of the hotel! It's close to Everything Pop and the Petals Pool Bar. And, it's a great place to relax.
Pop Century has 2,880 rooms and each room measures 260 square feet. The rooms feature two double beds or one king size bed. The most noticeable change in the rooms is that the bedspreads are gone (yay!) and they've been replaced with coverlets at the end of the bed. This change gives the rooms a nice modern (and clean) vibe!
Take a stroll over the Generation Gap Bridge and visit the Art of Animation! Tour the hotel, take some great photos, and make sure to stop and dine at Landscape of Flavors. A visit to AoA is on our "must-do" list now every time we visit Pop Century.
