A Walt Disney World employee was killed on July 9 in an accident at Pop Century. Police have stated that the accident occurred in a backstage area of the hotel that is not accessible by guests and was not connected to the construction of the Disney Skyliner transportation system.

If you're making plans to visit Disney World this summer - maybe for the opening of Toy Story Land on June 30 - there' a new free dining offer perfect for families with little kids! Disney has announced a FREE dining plan vacation package - but the free dining is for kids ages 3-9.

Guests who book their reservations at all Walt Disney World Resort Hotel after March 21 will be charged for overnight parking if they intend on parking their cars at the hotel. The fees will be added to the guest's hotel folio at check-out. At Pop Century the overnight parking fee - again, for reservations booked AFTER March 21 - will be $13 per night.

Guests at Disney's Pop Century are finding information about the new Disney Skyliner transportation system in their rooms. This new gondola transportation system will link Pop Century with Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, Disney Riviera Resort, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

We're hearing reports that a "housekeeping opt-out" program is being tested at Pop Century this month. According to several guests at our Facebook page, guests are being asked if they want to opt out of housekeeping during their stay and if they say "yes" they'll receive a gift card with $15 per night of their stay (excluding check-in and check-out day).
